10 Days To Finish Hike For Duchenne IX, We look back on how we began

We began Hike For Duchenne IX on July 18th with a target of 150 miles, today almost 10 days to we are 35 miles away from the target and we are positive that we shall finish off.


First of all, we would like to thank everyone who has been supporting us all through the journey for hike for Duchenne since its inception. We are very grateful!

We are working towards the finish line which is about 150 miles before 18th August 2022.

We have been asking for your support in different ways so that we can make an impact with you. You can still participate with us by becoming our sponsor, pledging towards the miles and with that, you will be helping us to make a difference that we all need to see.

We have had a few participants from the United States of America in different states. We have had also other participants in the UK plus a few Arab countries all gearing towards finishing these 150 miles and fundraising for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy families.

During this time, we have been Hiking. We have received a number of donations and we have helped a couple of families to have Scholastic materials, we have helped families with medical bills, food and also some supplements that have helped different Duchenne, muscular dystrophy families.

In our approaches and steps through the journey, we shared everything on our website. That is why its important to more of your support and we get more of your help, we are likely to reach out even to a larger number of families and people who are in need.

We have hiked from different parts of the country rating in Uganda because it’s where the larger team is. We have been in Fort Portal; we have been in Kiruhura District. We have been in Wakiso and Kyenjojo Districts , and also in Kampala. All together right now. As it stands we have faked about 115 miles and we are continuing to hit the target before the 18th of August.
