SAPPHIRE FUTURE & BIG PLANS
1. SSEGANGA PRIMARY SCHOOL
Sapphire Africa Foundation has been a strong advocate of education for all in Uganda and
through the many communities we serve. Our aim is to help all children get access to education
including disabled children and other marginalized groups of people.
Many of our children go to Sseganga Primary School in Wakiso district and we have done a lot
to see the improvement of this school in structure, education standard, remuneration of
teachers, the welfare of children and so much more all geared towards good education results.
Sseganga has a total enrolment of 500 students and most students who go there are from the
communities where people walk as far as 10 kilometers to reach this school in Sseganga.
Before we started our education program in Sseganga, the enrolment was as low as 97 Children
in total but through our Give a Hope Program and other family sensitization programs we
managed to get many parents and children interested in Education and since then the numbers
have been growing.
Sapphire Africa Foundation attempted to build a structure at Sseganga Primary School,
however we were unable to complete it due to a lack of funding. This would be a game-changer
in many ways, including the enrollment of kids, the alleviation of traffic, the boarding area for
candidate classes, and the creation of a Hall that would facilitate our training and awareness-
raising efforts in the community.
Before Tim Gillen passed away, we had already completed half of the structure. Tim greatly
assisted us in reaching this admirable level since he consistently made available the monies we
required at the time. We are pleading with all contributors and backers to assist us with this
massive endeavor so that we can complete the final Phases of roofing and finishing
When we started the main hall in Sseganga, we had seen and analyzed the need, since many
pupils wouldn’t fit in the few available classrooms and even administrators and teachers had no
office to perform their duties, a big number of children dropped out of school for walking to
school and yet not attending a lesson. When Covid 19 came, it further escalated the problem of
a lack of classrooms mostly when the pupils were told to social distance. This meant that there
was no space for many pupils and this is where a significant number of pupils dropped out of
school and became teenage mothers, we have highlighted that story on our website too.
By finishing up this building, we are looking at:
- Increasing the enrolment of the school. The school enrolment will increase by almost 40% when the main hall is complete since many pupils will be accommodated at ago.
- To improve the inclusivity is the disabled community. Since there will be developed accessibility of classrooms for disabled groups.
- Creating a school hall that will also act as a community hall for sensitization sessions, meetings, and conferences for the Sseganga Community.
- Minimizing to the lowest level the number of school dropouts. This will help to reduce the raising number of teenage mothers in the surrounding communities.
- To create a chance for vocational skilling which has long been struggling and yet can be very paramount in promoting employability.
- Creating employment opportunities. With the creation of more activities that will come with the hall completion are a raise in enrolment no doubt some additional employment opportunities will create hence improving the well-being of the community.
- To provide free education which will eventually help to reduce the illiteracy rates in the community which will foster development in the area.
- To enhance the capacity of teenagers through education starting from the grassroots will build an empowered group of women and men.
We are looking at raising $4500 to finish up this building. See the budget here Budget. Email

2. Sapphire Africa Foundation Home
The Sapphire Africa Foundation has long worked to enhance and strengthen the lives of those
who are less fortunate. Through its numerous activities. We have been able to connect with a
sizable number of people who were in need of various needs of life. The sapphire Africa
Foundation may not have been able to assist everyone in need because there are so many
people, so many needs, and yet limited funding, so we have capitalized on the most vulnerable
groups of in our community.
Sapphire Foundation Africa intends to build a residence that will be the Head Quarters and an
official home for us. Throughout our time we have struggled so much to house disabled people,
needy Children and many people who we always want to accommodate with. We have been
challenged many times when Physiotherapists want to Physio on our kids but because they
come from different places we get challenged.
We also love to host our visitors and supporters at our HQ this would bring trust and ease of
access to most of our activities. In order to facilitate direct communication with all parties
involved in supporting us to help people and simple access, Sapphire Africa foundation also
plans to open country offices there. This Sapphire Africa Foundation HQ residence will serve as a multipurpose hub where several
events will be held. Sessions of physical treatment, training and development of children's skills
in various facets of life and some other events.
There will be weekly trainings on sustainability, skilling and rehabilitation for children with
illnesses like Duchene muscular dystrophy and other disabilities, which is intended to enhance
their health and well-being. This is solely intended to better and improve the lives of these
people so that everyone has the chance to reach their full potential.
Additionally, various professionals will be employed to provide these children with a range of
vocational training so they can develop the knowledge and skills necessary to support
themselves financially and live more productively.
A number of additional initiatives that will be held there, including medical camps, where a
large number of individuals will receive long-needed medical care absolutely free of charge
through our partners.
Numerous individuals have benefited from the majority of the aforementioned activities, which
are being carried out by the Sapphire Africa Foundation that is why we are sure that if we had
our own place, it will enhance and improve our services even further more with added people
and results because it would help us to reduce the expenditures by far.
Sapphire Africa Foundation is kindly asking all well-wishers, supporters, partners, donors, and
well-wishers to help realize this project's huge dream by offering any type of support. Through
this, we will be able to connect with a lot more individuals, and their lives will never be the
same.
Sapphire Foundation needs $83400 to realize this big dream, we need your support and prayers
3. Sapphire Africa Foundation Model Farm
According to the most recent Global Hunger Index released on October 14 2022 by Concern Worldwide
and Welthungerhilfe. Uganda is one of six African countries whose "food scarcity" condition has been
classified as "severe." It must be noted Uganda is gifted with good and fertile land added to good rainy
seasons but the country still struggles with food because of poor methods of farming, lack of good
farming knowledge, and poor food storage methods. We want to address this.
The Sapphire Africa Foundation intends to set up a model farm that will be used largely for research or
to show off different agricultural approaches, with numerous economic benefits as bonuses to the
people in. The Sapphire Africa foundation aims to provide individuals with knowledge and skills on
contemporary agricultural methods and modern food storage methods so that they can raise a variety
of animal breeds and grow a variety of crop varieties.
An estimated 8 acres of land would be used to create the model farm. This is done to make sure there is enough room to show the different farming methods that will involve everyone for more socioeconomic growth and productivity. Model farms, on the other hand, are always modest to medium-sized plots with a carefully chosen variety of species that naturally sustain one another while forming the optimum ecosystem for the growth of major income crops.
Sapphire Africa Foundation seeks to educate the public about the advantages of regenerative agriculture and to motivate the local population to participate in the change. This model farm will also focus on producing food crops on a large scale in order to address the issues of hunger in the communities and improve the nutritional status of mothers and children who are most affected. Additionally, the surplus will be sold, thereby increasing household
The model farm will engage in a variety of activities in addition to farming, such as generating animal feeds like hay, maize bran, and many more, as well as producing manure for use on the farm and selling
Sapphire Africa Foundation plans to employ professionals and equipment so that they can also provide these people with the best training and knowledge necessary to operate these machines. Due to the fact that they will be coming from inside the communities, this will aid them in gaining knowledge and expertise that will be extremely helpful to them in the future. The model farm's staff will be the ones to put the information into practice, minimizing the expense of hiring experts. Individuals will develop deeper ownership as a result, and everything done on the farm will be done with passion, resulting in excellent outcomes and increased productivity.

extensive expertise and diverse farming philosophies so that this model farm can have the greatest
farming practices that will satisfy everyone's preferences.
The Sapphire Africa Foundation would like to express its sincere gratitude to the staff members who
work tirelessly to ensure that everything is in its proper place. We also want to express our gratitude to
all of our donors and well-wishers who have supported and walked with us throughout the years.
