Do you know $45 Help a kid go school for a term?
For the past years, the Sapphire foundation has been supporting a lot of school-going children in Uganda. Sapphire foundation has been able to reach schools in Northern Ugandan, central Uganda, western Uganda, and South Western Uganda and our plan is to extend our support to the rest of Uganda once we get enough resources to cater to all the less privileged children who are struggling to meet the school requirements like school uniform, scholastic materials and lunch.
Despite the great work of the sapphire foundation to make each child’s dream come true a lot more challenges have been faced, the education system highly favors children from well-to-do families that is if good quality is to be achieved.
Many children have dropped out of school a due to lack of school fees and funds to meet their school requirements. This has resulted into more complications that has seen very many young children resort to early marriages, drug abuse, child labor, defilement and rape to mention but a few since there is no school fees and enough scholastic materials like books pens pencils and many more.
Did you know that $45 can provide a decent education for each child for the entire term which takes approximately three months?
$15 would cover the pupil’s lunch for the entire term
$5 would cover all the scholastic materials for the entire term
$25 would cover the entire fees for the current term.
It’s very unfortunate to know that most parents in these mentioned regions can’t afford to rise this money and it’s even more sad to know that the brightest children are the ones in such a situation.
It’s very hurting to know that the child’s ability to explore their full potential has been limited by the real life situation that dictate their ways of living. Many people are vulnerable and need our help for their survival.
In Uganda Education is very important and in many cases its used as a ladder to escape poverty, I would like to call upon all well-wishers to up to this cause for the better generation.
Through this we shall be able to fight all the bad vices that would result from dropping out of school.
I would also like to use this opportunity to thank all those who have been walking with us through this Journey may the good Lord bless you abundantly.
