Our Programs

Sapphire Africa Programs

We believe real impact starts with restoring dignity and enabling independence. Our programs support persons with disabilities in Uganda and Kenya by addressing key challenges like limited mobility, poor access to care, and lack of economic opportunities. Through mobility solutions, specialized support, and economic empowerment, we help individuals move from dependence to independence because when people can move, they can work, and when they can work, they can thrive.

SAF Skills to Scale (S2S)

The Sapphire Skills to Scale (S2S) Program is an inclusive economic empowerment initiative designed to restore independence, dignity, and income-generating capacity among persons with disabilities, caregivers of children with disabilities, and vulnerable individuals in underserved communities across Uganda.
.
Rooted in Sapphire Africa Foundation’s core mission of disability support and empowerment, the program uniquely integrates mobility solutions with livelihood development, recognizing that the ability to move is directly linked to the ability to work, earn, and thrive.

Duchenne & Disability Support

The Sapphire Duchenne & Disability Support Program is a comprehensive initiative dedicated to improving the lives of children and families affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and other severe disabilities across Uganda.

We go beyond traditional support by combining medical care, mobility solutions, psychosocial support, and economic empowerment ensuring that families are not only supported, but empowered to live with dignity and independence.

DMD and Disability

Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a rare, genetic condition that is characterized by progressive muscle damage and weakness.

SAF Cares

One of our goals at Sapphire Africa Foundation is self-sustainability. We don’t want to just give tokens of money and gifts to our struggling families in Africa.

Give A Hope

Today, about 4 out of 10 young children in Uganda between the ages of 3 and 5 attend early childhood education, which represents a significant improvement from 2011

Skilling and Empowerment

Sapphire Africa Foundation began Vocational Skilling in 2018 with skills such as Kitting, sewing, Tailoring, hairdressing, and cosmology along the way we added computer skills

OUTREACHES

Through our community outreaches, we connect with a variety of hurting communities in Uganda's more remote rural areas in an effort to develop and empower them.
