Sapphire Africa Foundation works in Uganda's toughest places to reach the most disadvantaged children, people and other vulnerable groups. We depend on our donors and supporters to reach out to these families.
DMD and Disability
Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a rare, genetic condition that is characterized by progressive muscle damage and weakness.
One of our goals at Sapphire Africa Foundation is self-sustainability. We don’t want to just give
tokens of money and gifts to our struggling families in Africa.
Today, about 4 out of 10 young children in Uganda between the ages of 3 and 5 attend early
childhood education, which represents a significant improvement from 2011
Sapphire Africa Foundation began Vocational Skilling in 2018 with skills such as Kitting, sewing,
Tailoring, hairdressing, and cosmology along the way we added computer skills
Through our community outreaches, we connect with a variety of hurting communities in Uganda's
more remote rural areas in an effort to develop and empower them.
Sapphire Africa Foundation has been a strong advocate of education for all in Uganda and through the many communities we serve. Our aim is to help all children get access to education including disabled children and other marginalized groups of people.
Many of our children go to Sseganga Primary School in Wakiso district and we have done a lot to see the improvement of this school in structure, education standard, remuneration of teachers, the welfare of children and so much more all geared towards good education results.
